Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the worlds largest companies. To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we currently have a unique opportunity as we look to add a Business Development Manager to further expand our client base. This role can be based anywhere in the UK but with a strong preference in the London area. Reporting to the CPS Sales Manager , the Business Development Manager will serve as the liaison between the client and Anord Mardix, the role will centre around supporting the growth of the CPS division across the EMEA region; addressing customers needs and concerns whilst developing and maintaining strong relationships across the client network. The role will also focus on building and maintaining relationships with business executives and stakeholders, preparation of sales reports and identifying new opportunities for the CPS division as well introducing the broader range of critical power solutions manufactured by Anord Mardix. What a typical day looks like: Support our Strategic Growth plan in conjunction with the Head of Sales and related key leadership stakeholders Produce and maintain CPS sales opportunity pipeline in line with the company strategy E st a b lish& d eve l o p new partnerships in region to support the CPS Service offering I n c l ud i n g i dentifying partners e l ec ti o n c rit e ri a and s electing partners and developing s u p po rt programs in conjunction with the Site Services Team D eve l o p a n di m p l e m e n tt a r ge t d a t a ce n t e r provider and e n d u s e r acc o u n tstr a t eg y Reduce the business exposure to service contracts that are low margin and have direct impact on site service engineering capability Manage the tender proposal process and oversee administration in collaboration with respective business unit colleagues Collaborate with the Site Services Team to ensure that we are working towards delivering the required services in region to our key strategic clients, and we remain competitive towards achieving our company goals and objectives Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to ensure that we have agreements in place with key equipment suppliers that are aligned with our company strategy to achieve best value for our sales proposition Mon i t o r m a r ke t tr e nd s a n d i d e n ti f y i m p ac t o n services offering a n d s u gge st n e w ways to p r o m o te the CPS division in conjunction with our marketing team The experience were looking to add to our team: Minimum 5 years experience in a Technical Sales role ideally within a Service lead industry Experience selling Critical Power Services within the Hyperscale / Cloud, Co-Location, Hybrid or Edge Compute Data Centre space as well as selling into Facilities Management businesses would be advantageous Proven sales experience delivering sustainable growth in targeted markets C o m pu t e r lit e r a te w ith h i g h l eve l o f Po w e r P o i n t ex p e rtis e , P C p r o f i c i e n c y in M i c r o s o f t Of f i c e a n d or Google Suite with hands on w o r k i n g k no w l e d g e o f s a l e s cycle, c on t ac t ma n ag e m e n t d a t a b a s e s a n d CRM / ERP s y st e m s Sup e r i o r o r ga n i za t i on a l, i n t e r p e r s on a l, c o m m un i ca ti on , n eg o ti a ti on , st a ff management plus d eve l op me n t a n d op e r a t i o n al s k ills Superior c o m m un i ca ti o n s k ills Ability to interpret architectural drawings and electrical schematics Proficient p r e s e n tation skills an d comfortable i n t e r ac ting w ith a lll eve ls of ma n ag e me n t Hi g h ly s e l f - m o ti v a t e d w ith t h e ab ility to m o ti va te and coach o t h e rs to deliver successful outcomes T h is po sit i o n r e qu ir e s regular travel across the UK and limited travel across the EMEA region What youll receive for the great work you provide: An environment where you will feel fulfilled by your work, valued for your contribution, and celebrated for your success; A competitive salary and benefits package A merit-based annual pay review Enhanced annual leave Employee recognition scheme and long service awards Referral bonus Volunteer days Group Life Insurance, including a death in service payment and access to a virtual GP service 24/7 365 days a year Sick pay scheme Cycle to Work scheme Enhanced maternity/paternity leave Flexible/Remote/HybridWork based on your Job Function Travel opportunities (role dependent) Support in your well-being by access to Employee Assistance Programme offering free access to qualified counsellors and expert advice On-site trained Mental Health First Aiders Access to various discount programs (including food, activities, gym memberships etc.) At Flex, we welcome people of all backgrounds.
