Salary: Competitive Benefits | Overtime Are you a time-served machinist with strong manual turning experience and a passion for precision engineering? Join our Coleford Engineering Services Division as a key member of our machining team, where your expertise will directly contribute to servicing and restoring vital rotating equipment components. ?? About the Role: As a Manual & CNC Machinist , youll work hands-on with a variety of machinery to manufacture and refurbish pump components for a wide customer base. Youll read technical drawings, reverse-engineer worn parts, and ensure all components meet design tolerances. You'll primarily work on a manual centre lathe , turning shafts, sleeves, spacers, and machining cast parts such as impellers, bearing housings, and casings. Additionally, you'll use a CNC lathe (SWED 12) , milling machines, vertical borers, and other workshop tools. ??? Key Responsibilities: Manual turning of pump components (shafts, sleeves, spacers, etc.) Machining of cast parts to drawing (e.g., impellers, casings) Operating CNC lathes and milling machines Using vertical borers, slotting machines, and balancing equipment Reverse-engineering worn parts using precision measurement Working to engineering tolerances with high attention to detail Supporting workshop fitting and occasional on-site work Maintaining exceptional standards of safety, cleanliness, and professionalism ? What We're Looking For: Time-served Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent (NVQ Level 3 or higher) Strong experience using manual lathes, drills, mills , and other shop machinery Proven ability to read and work from engineering drawings Confident in using measuring equipment and machining to tight tolerances Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical, organised approach Full UK driving licence Able to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills ?? Working Environment: This is a workshop-based role with occasional site work required. All PPE will be provided .
