Job Description Job Description LPN Job Summary : With a commitment to patient- and family-centered care, the LPN uses the nursing process in ways that values the uniqueness of each individual and addresses the physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs of the diversity of patients served by Jefferson Health. The LPN is prepared to function as a healthcare team member by exercising sound nursing judgment based on preparation, knowledge, experience in nursing, and competency. Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and the physicians, the LPN plans implement and evaluates care and effectively addresses the individual needs and priorities consistent with the patient's cultural beliefs and values and implements select nursing actions within the LPNs scope of practice. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements : Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing and passed the Pennsylvania Board Association for Licensed Practical Nurse. Experience: 1 year of experience preferred Emergency Room Experience strongly preferred Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of practice; BLS required based on organizational guidelines/polices.
