Assistant Warehouse Manager

Masterparts DC Modderfontein (Linbro Park) I am seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for our Modderfontein Distribution Centre. The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for supporting the Warehouse Manager in all warehouse operations and leading and empowering the team of employees to exceed business targets and objectives. You will be required to work Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays. The duties include: Performing the full Warehouse Management function when the Warehouse Manager is unavailable. Assisting the Warehouse Manager with: Goods Receiving, Interbranch Transfers, Parcels, Stock Control, Housekeeping Safety Standards (OHS) Security awareness and accountability for the warehouse and stock. Lead and manage the various teams within the warehouse. Conduct structured meetings and teambuilding initiatives. Performance management. Basic HR functions (leave admin, corrective counselling, disciplinary initiator, etc.) Performance Management (evaluate staff performance, provide feedback, mentoring, and coaching as required) Onboarding and training new warehouse staff. A relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous. At least three years of experience in a similar role. Proven leadership and people management ability. You must have good computer skills. You must be able to perform under pressure and always display a sense of urgency. You must show initiative, be self-motivated, performance-driven, highly organised, and reliable. You must be able to motivate and cultivate a positive team environment.
