Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/11/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Position Summary: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit Location: Watertown, New York Facility Type: Likely a hospital under the Samaritan health system Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week or 48 Hours options available Shift Type: Nights- 12-hour shifts – 12hr Nights - weekend, holiday and call required 7p-7:30a Distance Requirement: Permanent residence must be at least 60 miles away ✅ Required Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Active NYS RN license BLS & ACLS – Required IV and IV contrast certification – Required Coronary care course or pass challenge exam within orientation Basic lethal dysrhythmia course within 6 months of hire NIHSS certification within first 6 months Previous travel experience required – Must have completed at least one successful assignment Cannot have worked for Samaritan in the last 2 years unless eligible for rehire Preferred (But Not Required): Current critical care experience PALS certification Charge nurse experience or willingness to act in that role Note: “We are an equal opportunity employer.
