Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Role: Mechanical Design Engineer Salary / Rate: £45-£50 /hour Outside IR35 Location: Old Trafford (Hybrid working) Our client is a reputable Design & Build Contractor looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to help support on the Detailed Design phase of multiple MEICA projects on major UK water frameworks. About the Role: • Provide mechanical design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements • Produce mechanical design calculations and drawings for the water industry • Direct and support CAD technicians and junior designers • Prepare scopes of work for and check the output of subcontract M&E design teams • Liaise with suppliers, prepare specifications, and review technical submissions • Conduct design investigations and produce reports and specifications • Ensure design work is compliant with technical and industry standards • Implement and record any design changes through the project lifecycle • Estimate hours and resource required for design packages • Attend and present at meetings and design reviews as required About You: • Graduate, HND or equivalent industry experience in Mechanical Engineering • Minimum of 5 years mechanical design experience in the UK water industry • Good working knowledge of IT systems and relevant design software • Experience in clean water and wastewater design (infrastructure and non-infrastructure) • Strong technical knowledge and awareness of construction methods and materials • Registered with a professional body and working towards chartership if not already chartered • Strong communication and problem-solving skills • Results-focused with a commitment to technical excellence and continuous development Reach out to Charlie Knight @ Advance TRS to find out more about this exciting opportunity and take the next step in your career.
