The Lead Systems Engineer defines the architecture and translates system requirements into workable solutions. Tasks Analyze requirements at the system, component, hardware and software level Design system architecture and substantiate choices through trade studies Establish specifications and compliance criteria for system and components Develop and approve validation plans; demonstrate compliance via analysis, simulation or test Develop test methods and protocols and analyze test data Prepare and review technical reports and presentations Standardize tools and practices within the systems team Provide technical input for project planning and work distribution Coach and mentor team members in their development Guide transition from development to series production including testing and certification Coordination with internal and external engineering partners, including internationally What's in it for you A strategic technical role with significant substantive influence within an innovative defense and aerospace environment. Who are you An experienced systems engineer with leadership skills, analytical ability and affinity for complex technical development projects in a regulated environment. Your profile: Completed college or university degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or systems engineering Experience with system specification and modular architectures Familiar with tools such as DOORS, Codebeamer, SysML or IBM Rhapsody Experience with security research (FTA/FMEA) is a plus Technically proficient in setting up tests and validation methods Understanding of technologies such as sensors, navigation, data links or propulsion (pré) Familiarity with defense or aviation standards is desired Strong in analyzing, presenting and guiding technical decision making.
