Job Description
Duties: Ensure guests are acknowledged, with kindness, warmth and sincerity, when entering and departing the reception area. Engage with guests providing information related to the estate, the facilities & experiences. Conduct estate tours with guests. Operate telephone and switchboard service for all calls. Refer calls & provide assistance to the appropriate person depending on the nature of the call. Maintain a register of bookings and reservations and communicate with the Security department. Compile and update data related to the area of activity. Complete and distribute information that needs to be communicated around the estate. Correct and update electronic telephone directory. Ensure that lunch and dinner booking sheets from the restaurant gets communicated to the appropriate departments. Keep management informed of all concerns that guests raise. Ensure all lost property is handed and signed over to the security manager. Requirements: Grade 12 Hospitality certificate Preferably 1- 2 years previous reception/switchboard operator experience. Excellent telephone etiquette and customer-service skills. Fluent in English with excellent written & oral communication skills. Able to work in a team. Good computer skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Availability to work within Hospitality operating hours (e.g. evenings, public holidays, weekends). Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele. Must be well-presented and have an enthusiastic personality.
