Project Manager Sales

SMS group S.p.A., based in Italy, employs over 500 staff across Tarcento (Udine), San Donato Milanese (Milan), and Genoa. The company specializes in producing innovative, turnkey plants such as hot and cold rolling mills, process lines, reheating furnaces, heat treatment lines, rolling mills for long products, meltshops, and continuous casting machines. We are seeking to fill the position of Project Manager Sales SIE HANDELN Represent SMS group towards customers and manage internal project relationships; Conduct regular project discussions and negotiations with customers and consortium members, documenting outcomes; Hold core team meetings and record results; Act as the "entrepreneur inside the company" for overall sales projects; Understand project goals, requirements, and budget baseline; Define project strategy in collaboration with the Core Sales Team and Project Owner Sales; Manage the Core Sales Team; Allocate project budgets within authorized limits; Implement target costing strategies as needed; Negotiate as the official contact point with customers and partners, handling technical and commercial communications until contract signing; Organize project meetings, including risk assessments; Travel within company travel guidelines; Request and manage all project-related data and information; Possess project-related power of attorney for contract negotiations, with signing authority limited to authorized representatives. SIE WISSEN Graduate or Bachelor/Master in Mechanical Engineering or similar; 3-4 years of experience in technical sales for complex plant manufacturing; Experience analyzing customer requests and preparing technical offers; Commercial skills to identify competitive solutions and manufacturing strategies; Strong knowledge of mechanical technical drawings; basic understanding of media systems, electrical, and automation packages; Coordination skills for managing proposal teams; Willingness to travel globally; Fluent in English; German is a plus; Proficient in MS Office, including Project; basic SAP knowledge; Drawing tools like AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo are advantageous but not required.
