Job Description

We are looking for a Student Support Administrator for our institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Key Responsibilities: Serve as the first point of contact for student queries via phone, email, WhatsApp, and in-person. Maintain and update student records on institutional systems (e.g., ITS, Moodle, or similar). Assist with registration, module changes, withdrawals, and issuing of academic letters (e.g., proof of registration, visa letters). Coordinate student onboarding and orientation activities. Support students with academic and personal challenges by referring them to appropriate services (e.g., counselling, financial aid, academic support). Track student progress and escalate concerns to academic advisors or faculty. Prepare and distribute communication regarding institutional policies, deadlines, and events. Assist with the administration of assessments, timetables, and exam logistics. Ensure compliance with POPIA and institutional data protection policies. Minimum requirements: National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Administration, Education, Psychology, or a related field. A Bachelors degree (NQF Level 7) is advantageous. Must have 23 years of administrative experience, preferably in a tertiary education environment. Experience with student information systems and CRM tools NB: Working Conditions: Office-based with occasional evening or weekend work during registration or exam periods and graduation time.
