Job Description Job Description Job Description: Seeking a self-motivated, goal oriented and energetic scientist to join our team. This is an entry-level full-time exempt position based at our growing facility located in Newark, Delaware. Requirements: Must have an Associate or Bachelor degree with a major in Chemistry. Recent graduate, prefer 1-2 years laboratory/industrial or chemical manufacturing work experience. Knowledge of material science a plus. Experience with HPLC instrumentation and organic synthesis. Excellent oral and written communications skills along with multi-tasking skills. Excellent organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail and confidentiality. Positive attitude with ability to work well in a group environment. Proficient computer skills to utilize Microsoft software and an ERP system for day-to-day operations. Ability to communicate results of experiments through proper record keeping. Physically fit to stand, bend and twist with ability to lift 40 pounds. Responsibilities: Synthesis of polymer materials for chromatographic separation. Operation of HPLC instruments to characterize polymeric resins. Perform application experiments under supervision while following Standard Operating Procedure requirements. Maintain record keeping in notebooks and logs that are proper, thorough and legible. Utilize and maintain the ERP system to optimize daily departmental functions. Performance of general housekeeping maintenance throughout the laboratory and tidiness in work areas. Observe safety precautions as outlined in safety manuals and training.
