Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Psychologist Discipline: Therapy Duration: 24 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days, evenings Employment Type: Travel Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our mental health team within a Correctional Facility. This role plays a critical function in the psychological evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of incarcerated individuals. The position offers a unique opportunity to deliver impactful care in a secure environment, supported by a competitive compensation package. Qualifications: Possession of a current and valid license as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of California. At least 12 consecutive months of clinical experience within the past 3 years in a comparable setting (internship/residency not included). Demonstrated proficiency in both spoken and written English to ensure effective communication and documentation. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and individualized treatment planning. Provide psychotherapy services, including crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, and behavioral interventions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) meetings. Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and progress in accordance with institutional standards and legal requirements. Perform mental status evaluations and utilize relevant case materials to inform clinical decisions. Support institutional safety by monitoring and managing inmate behavior in alignment with treatment goals and security protocols. Assist with patient transitions within the facility and coordinate continuity of care with external providers upon release. Maintain compliance with all California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Nightingale's List Job.
