L&D Business Partner - Trade/Construction Location: North Bristol with some travel Sector: Property Maintenance Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £48, 600 plus car allowance (£7,000) plus benefits Are you an experienced L&D professional with a passion for developing frontline teams in a trade or construction environment? We're recruiting on behalf of a leading property maintenance company for an L&D Business Partner to design and deliver impactful, hands-on learning across their operational workforce. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and forward-thinking business where people development, safety, and operational excellence are key to success. What you’ll be doing: * Designing and delivering practical training programmes for trade operatives, supervisors and operational leaders * Leading on compliance and safety training (toolbox talks, inductions, behavioural safety) * Supporting career development pathways for site-based teams including trainees and apprentices * Managing external learning providers and securing funding (including through CITB and other partners) * Enhancing digital learning content and improving engagement with L&D initiatives * Collaborating with operational and health & safety teams to align training with business needs * Contributing to wider people development projects across the organisation What we’re looking for: * Proven experience in learning & development within a trade, construction, or property services environment * Confidence in training design and facilitation, particularly for hands-on and compliance-focused topics * Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work cross-functionally * Awareness of health & safety, regulatory frameworks and operational risks * Experience working with CITB funding and apprenticeship pathways is highly desirable * A proactive, organised and improvement-focused mindset The Benefits * Salary £48,668 plus car allowance (c£7,000) * Company profit share scheme (12% last year) * Enhanced employer pension contribution of up to 7% * Life insurance cover equivalent to 3 x salary * Private medical insurance * Enhanced maternity/ paternity * 23 days annual leave rising to 25 with the ability to buy up to 5 days or sell up to 3 days per year * Discounts from preferred suppliers * Access to an employee assistance program and free financial and legal advice Location North Bristol (hybrid working two days in the office, one day travelling to different company sites - Nationwide and two days from home).
