R&D Engineer

Our Client is the leading specialist distributor of cold applied road marking, road repair and reinstatement systems. They are seeking a R&D Engineer who will support their ‘in development’ projects. This is a hands-on role where the individual will collaborate across all stakeholders, instigate, drive and own an array of projects for cold applied road/surface repair and reinstatement systems. Responsibilities: * Run product demos and client presentations related to Product Development * Carrying out market research for development opportunities * Carrying out competitive product analysis * Sourcing product/solution options and partners * Collaborating with labs & universities for development work * Undertaking practical testing & prototyping of products * Attending and supporting on-site testing * Reporting on testing completed * Technical data sheet creation * Travel in the UK and Europe which may be during unsocial hours. Candidate Profile: * Appropriate degree/post graduate degree in a subject relevant to industrial paints, chemicals or civil engineering materials. * Experience working within an industrial/contracting environment and able to demonstrate evidence of delivering projects with stakeholders desirable * Would suit either a Chemist, or Engineer from a civil engineering, construction or highways background Benefits Package: * Working hours are 7:30am-4:30pm, 22 days holiday
