Approved Electrician

Location: Worcestershire Working Hours: 40 hours Salary: £25.00ph Contract Type: Temporary, full time hours Role Summary We are seeking a qualified and experienced Approved Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will carry out a variety of electrical installations, maintenance, testing, and inspection work across commercial projects — with a focus on quality, compliance, and safety. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently or as part of a team and ensure all works are completed to a high standard, in line with current regulations and client expectations. Key Responsibilities * Install, maintain, test and inspect electrical systems and equipment across a range of projects. * Carry out 1st and 2nd fix installations on domestic and commercial fit-outs. * Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications. * Ensure compliance with the latest IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). * Perform fault finding and remedial works efficiently. * Complete Electrical Installation Certificates, Minor Works Certificates, and EICRs accurately. * Liaise with clients, site managers, and other trades where necessary. * Ensure health and safety standards are upheld at all times. * Mentor and support junior electricians or apprentices, if required. Essential Requirements * Fully qualified Electrician with AM2. * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent. * City & Guilds 2391 / 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent. * 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). * Current ECS Gold Card (Approved Electrician grading). * Full UK driving licence * Ability to work from drawings and specifications. * Strong understanding of current electrical regulations and health & safety practices. Desirable * Experience working on high-end residential or commercial fit-out projects. * Experience with smart home technology or BMS systems. * Familiarity with NICEIC certification processes. * IPAF * Enhanced DBS
