Job Description: Design Engineer (Marine) Location: Glasgow/ Home based Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours Salary: £27.00 - £36.26 Per hour Primary Industry: Marine and Shipbuilding Secondary Industry: Engineering Job Duties: Design and develop marine engineering systems, equipment, and structures Conduct technical analysis and calculations to ensure designs meet requirements Create detailed drawings and specifications for marine components Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field Proven experience in marine engineering design Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field Experience: Proven experience in marine engineering design Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Preferred Qualifications: Technical Apprenticeship or degree in Marine Engineering, Design Engineering or related field Professional Engineering (PE) licence Experience with shipbuilding processes
