Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector LOCAL UK BASED CANDIDATES ONLY Contek are looking for an experienced or junior Quality Inspectorto join an established and growing company in Newcastle upon Tyne. This company have been in business for over 40 years and due to growth are looking for their next Inspector to join their team. To be a successful candidate for this position you must have some inspection experience working in a manufacturing environment such as machining, fabrication or similar environments. Responsibilities; Inspection of components using equipment such as Verniers, Calipers, Height Gauges, Shadowgraphs etc. Working from technical drawings. Identify non-conformances, report and address with the production team. First off and in process inspection. Maintain accurate records of inspection. Experience; Quality Inspector experience required in a manufacturing environment such as machining, fabrication or similar. Proficiency in using measuring instruments. Good communication. Ability to work as a team or individually. Good understanding of engineering drawings. Ideally served an Apprenticeship or come with a good Engineering foundation. Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 15:00 Friday 07:00 - 13:00 Overtime is available in this role.
