Here at Bournemouth & Poole College , we are looking to recruit a Lecturer in Superyachts, Travel & Tourism on a part-time, permanent basis . In return,you will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 - £39,198 per annum, pro rata for part time. As of August 2025, this role will benefit from a 3% pay award. The Lecturer in Superyachts, Travel & Tourism Role: As our Lecturer in Superyachts, Travel & Tourism, you will deliver high-quality and effective teaching and learning to Bournemouth and Poole College students from Level 1-3 Superyachts, Travel & Tourism. The post holder will also act as a personal tutor to students. Responsibilities as our Lecturer in Superyachts, Travel & Tourism will include: To contribute to the development and delivery of all our Superyachts, Travel & Tourism courses To contribute to high-quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and learning methods based on current best available practice To create an outstanding student experience which leads to progression or employment To provide academic and pastoral support to students in accordance with agreed procedures To participate in the College's appraisal process and to undertake any training that may be appropriate As our Lecturer in Superyachts, Travel & Tourism , you'll ideally have: Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years Graduate in relevant subject area Minimum Level 3 or Graduate in the relevant subject area, such as L3 BTEC Travel & Tourism, Professional Yacht Crew Training Programs e.g STCW Basic Safety Training, Yachtmaster Certification, Interior Crew Training Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including word, excel, PowerPoint Current evidence-based practice in Superyachts, Travel & Tourism Industry Communication skills including written and verbal Excellent organisational skills Focused on team working The ability to teach students of all ages Proven ability to plan and organise own workload. The ability to access and use relevant sources of research evidence.
