Position: The Court Project Manager Starting date: as soon as possible Location: Remote Type of position: full-time Remuneration: in line with market standards Application deadline: Rolling basis until the position is filled. About The Court The Court is an independent, international tribunal championing universal human rights which considers cases over which official courts have no jurisdiction or are otherwise unable or unwilling to act. The Court bridges gaps in access to international justice by highlighting the impunity of leaders who are alleged to have perpetrated atrocities and creates a platform for justice by documenting and preserving evidence and recognising the victims and survivors of those alleged atrocities. The Court, inaugurated under the patronage of Nuremburg Prosecutor and Congressional Gold Medal recipient, the late Benjamin Ferencz and under the current patronage of Nobel peace prize laureate Oleksandra Matviichuk, addresses the growing global demand for international accountability for political and military leaders who are alleged to have flouted human rights with impunity and have evaded timely and meaningful justice efforts. The first session of The Court was convened in The Hague in February 2023, charging Russia’s President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin with the crime of aggression against Ukraine. The second session charged the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping with crimes against humanity in Tibet and crimes against humanity and genocide against the Uyghur population in Xinjiang. Role Overview: Project Manager with human rights background Duties & Responsibilities: Offering crucial administrative support to the team including: organizing meetings, maintaining project files, checking and submitting daily goals & reports from team members, preparing daily executive summaries. managing social media accounts and website, ensuring timely updates, engaging content, and effective communication of project goals. Monitoring HR and LinkedIn applications for volunteers on a rolling basis, onboarding new volunteers. Collaborating in the organization and seamless coordination of project events and activities to ensure successful execution. Playing a pivotal role in fundraising initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of strategies to secure financial support for the project. Updating and maintaining databases with accuracy and attention to detail to ensure all project information is current and easily accessible. outreach and communication efforts with project partners and stakeholders, fostering collaborative relationships and maintaining open lines of communication. Requirements and skills: Excellent organizational and administrative skills. Excellent English skills in written and spoken form. Educational qualifications in human rights or international Criminal Law preferred Experience working with international cases or tribunals in the field of international justice preferred At least 2-5 years of experience in an international organization, NGO, civil society organization, or human rights organisations. Passion and interest in diverse topics such as film, international conflicts, human rights, and socio-political and humanitarian issues. Proactive mindset, ability to think outside the box, willingness to go the extra mile, and a problem-solving attitude. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 to 18:00.
