Here at Bournemouth & Poole College , we are looking to recruit a Lecturer – Early Years and Care on a part-time, permanent basis . In return,you will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 to £39,198 per annum (£18,243.24 - £23,836.62 pro-rata). The Role: As our Lecturer – Early Years and Care, you will deliver high quality and effective teaching and learning in the Early Years and Care subject area to Bournemouth and Poole College students. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students, helping them build a strong foundation for their future careers in early years education or care. Responsibilities as our Lecturer – Early Years and Care will include: Teach on courses as agreed with the Learning Manager across Early Years and Care curriculum Contribute to the design, delivery and future planning and development of the curriculum. Engage in ongoing research to stay informed about the latest developments and best practices in early years education. Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences for professional development. Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Provide timely, specific, and constructive feedback to encourage student growth and address areas for improvement. Regularly monitor and document student progress, using data to inform teaching strategies and identify additional support needs. Organise and participate in relevant speakers, enrichment visits, and liaise with external organisations to enhance the student experience. Take appropriate responsibility to ensure the health and safety of self and others Contribute to the teaching/learning resource bank for the relevant subject/course. Participate in Internal Verification and adhere to Awarding Body requirements, Act as a Personal Tutor to students. Represent college at internal and external events and meetings including student recruitment, admissions, and open events. As our Lecturer – Early Years and Care , you'll ideally have: A relevant professional qualification at Level 3 or above - Diploma in Childcare and Education or Health and Social Care, Level 3 NVQ in Early Years, Care and Education, Children and Young People's Workforce, NNEB. Level 2 English and Maths Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years A proven record of delivering teaching, learning and assessment to a consistently high standard either in a college or work setting by supporting apprentices Relevant industrial experience within an Early Years or Education, Care environment including a Day Nursery, School, care setting or pre-school. Experience of working with students and assessing vocational practice. Skills in assessing the progress of students.
