Summary Assists in planning and implementing individual patient care and therapeutic milieu groups to facilitate the treatment of psychiatric inpatients. Provides direct care services, performs diagnostic procedures, supports mental health needs, and documents interactions, working under the supervision of an RN. Job Duties Document client behaviors and chart into electronic medical records. Respond to emergency/crisis calls, triage, and coordinate with staff. Assist residents with physical care and hygiene. Support activities of daily living and adhere to treatment plans. Engage in ongoing education and team activities. Participate in treatment planning and perform diagnostic procedures. Support professional growth through continuing education. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma/GED and at least 1 year of experience in human services or related fields, or college credits in relevant majors, or 6 months of direct care experience, or 1 year of behavioral health experience. Ability to maintain confidentiality, communicate clearly, and adapt to emergencies. Knowledge of mental health/substance abuse, counseling skills, and BLS certification upon hire. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields. 1 year of direct care experience in an acute behavioral health setting. Physical Demands Details provided in the full job description.
