Job Description

For a primary owner of tanker vessels, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Superintendent. Key requirements: Applicants should be qualified to a minimum STCW III/2 (Second Engineer) level and/or graduated as Naval architect or Marine Engineer. Previous shore experience in the role is compulsory. English Knowledge B2/C1 Open to candidates from both EU and non-EU countries, provided they have a valid work permit for Italy Responsabilities: Project management, including but not limited to Plan, budget, organize, direct and control tasks, people and resources to meet changing operational and technical demands Plan and manage dry docking process, would also be required to plan and implement system of vessel inspections and audits Support and liaise with safety department to ensure Health Safety Environmental Management System adherence Provide advice and guidance on operational and technical matters to crew, senior management, clients and third parties as required Responsible for safe and cost effective operational and technical management of vessels Optimize the application of existing and emerging technology to increase vessel and equipment reliability and performance Control and manage all maintenance and modification engineering activities International travel Ensure vessels' operational status is maintained and meets standards required by statutory and classification bodies at all times Work place - Genova Contractual / Economic Conditions – to be commisurated to the candidate.
