Job Description

Overview Early Careers play a pivotal role in shaping the future talent pipeline and succession strategy. This position is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving a structured and inclusive Early Careers programme that builds critical skills, accelerates talent, and supports the broader people and business agenda. Reporting into the Leadership & Talent Manager and collaborating with stakeholders across the business, the Early Careers Manager will ensure we attract, develop, and retain high-potential talent through impactful early careers pathways. Key Responsibilities Lead Early Careers Strategy: Define and deliver a future-focused Early Careers approach aligned with business needs and employer brand. Stay Ahead of Trends: Use industry insights and networks to keep our programmes innovative and competitive. Champion Inclusion: Ensure all programmes are accessible and inclusive, working closely with our I&D team. Measure Impact: Set clear KPIs, gather feedback, and continuously improve programmes. Engage Stakeholders: Act as a trusted partner to leaders and HR, offering insight and guidance. Build Talent Pipelines: Identify skills gaps and create pathways through early careers recruitment. Foster Community: Create a connected cohort experience for graduates, apprentices, and interns. Support Hiring Plans: Deliver a steady flow of early talent into business-critical roles. Enable Learning: Partner with L&D to design development opportunities for early careers colleagues. Manage Apprenticeships: Oversee delivery, providers, and progression of apprenticeship programmes. Boost Employer Brand: Strengthen external partnerships with schools, colleges, and universities. Drive Outreach: Lead on work experience, placements, and intern opportunities to widen access. Partner with Line Managers: Ensure a high-quality experience and progression support for early careers hires. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in Early Careers, including graduate and apprenticeship recruitment and development- Ideally 4 years plus experience or 2 years in Two early careers roles Strong background in candidate attraction, recruitment, and selection at entry levels Experience managing relationships with universities, colleges, and schools Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels Demonstrated ability to work with external training providers and partners Energetic, purpose-driven, and results-focused
