English Teacher Start Date: September 2025 Location: Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire Are you a passionate English Teacher looking to begin a new challenge? Or a Newly Qualified Teacher looking to get started within the sector? GSL Education are currently looking for English Teacher to work in long-term placement. Roles are suitable for Fully Qualified and Newly Qualified Teachers who are looking to complete their induction year. Jobs may become permanent for the right candidates. Key Responsibilities: Plan, mark, and deliver English up to GCSE or A-level Standard. Engage students to learn the subject and classroom manage. Have excellent communication skills to liaise with school leaders, parents, carers or guardians and young people. Meeting with parents and discussing student development and progress in English. Have patience and the ability to adapt teaching style to meet the needs of individual students are valuable traits. Asses the student progress (e.g. homework, exam grades, etc.) Motoring student progress, providing feedback, and maintaining records of attendance, grades, discipline issues, and other information. Researching and implanting different teaching methods and English language materials. As a successful candidate: Have at least six months UK teaching experience. Have an enhanced child workforce DBS certificate on the Update Service or are willing to process one through GSL Education. at your earliest convenience. Will hold QTS or other UK recognised teaching qualification. Will hold a current Enhanced DBS registered with the update service or be prepared to apply for a new one.
