Teaching Assistant - Year 3 Location: Morecambe, Lancashire Job Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Start Date: ASAP Salary: £14.20 per hour About the Role: Veritas Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated General Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class in a vibrant and welcoming primary school located in Morecambe. This is a full-time role during term time, ideal for candidates who have a genuine interest in supporting young learners and making a positive impact on their educational journey. Key Responsibilities: Provide general classroom support to the class teacher and pupils Assist with lesson preparation, delivery, and classroom management Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning Support children with additional needs to access the curriculum Help maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment Contribute to assessment and pupil progress records where required The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within a school setting A nurturing and patient approach to learning support Good literacy and numeracy skills Strong communication and teamwork skills A proactive and flexible attitude Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 TA qualification) - desirable but not essential A current DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one Why Work with Veritas Education?
