Accountant - Forwarding Company

We are seeking a talented accountant to join our team full-time at our Italy Milan office due to business growth. In this key position, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance of financial records. Responsibilities: Process and record financial transactions, including payments, collections, and invoices. Monitor and reconcile bank account balances. Prepare and submit tax returns and financial reports. Manage invoicing activities and ensure timely payments. Liaise with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations. Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency. Requirements: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably in the logistics or forwarding sector. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations. Attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with IT tools, including accounting software and spreadsheets. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Work environment and conditions: Office hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00 to 18:00, 39 hours per week. Salary: To be determined after consultation. Work mode: On-site. One-year contract with a 3-month probation period, according to Italian law. Possibility of transitioning to full-time employment.
