Head of Product – Autonomous Maritime Systems Full-time | Executive Level | Hybrid/On-site Applications open now Lead the Future of Naval Autonomy We’re pioneering the next generation of underwater and surface autonomy for defense and security. Our cutting-edge systems operate in some of the most demanding maritime environments on Earth — and we’re looking for a Head of Product to lead the strategic direction, business performance, and lifecycle execution of our autonomous maritime platforms. What You’ll Own As Head of Product, you will serve as the strategic and operational anchor for a growing portfolio of naval systems. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for defining product vision, managing cross-functional execution, and delivering commercial success. Your core responsibilities include: Product Strategy & Portfolio Roadmapping Define and own the 3-year product strategy, roadmaps, feature sets, and competitive positioning across platforms. Update quarterly with market intelligence, customer feedback, and operational data. P&L and Commercial Performance Build and manage multi-million euro business cases. Oversee pricing strategy, margin targets, and unit economics from concept to sustainment. Customer & Market Insight Act as the voice of the customer — drawing input from naval operators, procurement agencies, commercial teams, and in-field systems to steer product priorities and lifecycle plans. Cross-Functional Product Leadership Drive alignment between Engineering (trade-offs, architecture, certification), Manufacturing (cost-out, capacity, quality), Commercial (go-to-market, bids), and Field Ops (feedback loops for service releases). Lifecycle & Launch Excellence Lead gate readiness, product trials, and transition-to-production activities. Oversee sustainment and upgrade pathways for in-service platforms. Governance & Executive Reporting Report monthly KPIs to the Chief Product Officer, escalate portfolio risks, propose mitigations, and justify CAPEX/OPEX allocations tied to roadmap execution. What You’ll Bring Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent; MBA or senior military/defense college credential is highly desirable 10 years of experience in naval systems, autonomous platforms, or high-tech defense products, with at least 5 years in full product ownership or senior P&L roles Demonstrated success in managing €20M programs and delivering commercial outcomes in regulated or mission-critical environments Deep understanding of propulsion, hydrodynamics, C4ISR, and military compliance standards (e.g., STANAG, MIL‑STD‑810) Strategic leadership with the ability to drive execution across engineering, commercial, and operations teams Excellent communicator, able to brief defense customers, primes, and executive stakeholders with confidence and clarity Fluent English required; a second NATO language is an advantage Who You Are You’re a visionary and an operator.
