Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector

Electrical & Instrumentation Quality Inspector | Rotterdam | Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy Long term contract | On site ENG Bauen continues to support major capital projects across Europe, including the delivery of a new energy facility located in Rotterdam. This large-scale industrial site plays a key role in the regional energy landscape, integrating advanced E&I systems into critical process and utility infrastructure. We are now seeking a highly skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Quality Inspector to join the onsite Quality team. Reporting to the Quality Lead, you will monitor E&I installation works, ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications, and drive robust quality control processes across construction activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on QA/QC professional to contribute to a complex energy installation, working closely with construction teams, vendors, and engineering leads to uphold the highest standards of delivery and safety. Key Responsibilities Inspect and supervise daily E&I works to ensure full compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable standards. Review and approve E&I materials and installation documentation, ensuring all quality records are captured in the project tracking systems. Participate in ITPs, witness testing, and ensure inspection records are properly documented and closed. Collaborate with construction and HSE teams to resolve quality issues, support audits, and implement corrective actions. Qualifications Recognised qualification or apprenticeship in Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline. Strong background in site-based QA/QC or inspection roles, ideally within oil & gas, energy, petrochemical, or large-scale industrial projects. Familiarity with electrical and instrumentation standards, installation practices, and supplier documentation. Hands-on experience with site inspections, test witnessing, and verification of construction activities. Relevant safety or compliance certifications (e.g. ATEX or equivalent) are advantageous. Competent with standard software tools (e.g. Excel, Word, SharePoint) and comfortable working within structured quality systems.
