Facility Officer - Planning Department Ref:HN46682 An exciting opportunity has arisen from a fast-growing financial institution in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. They are looking for a Facility Officer in their Planning Department who is eager to cooperate with colleagues from different cultures and willing to successfully perform one of the key positions in the organisation Dutch or Japanese skill would be advantageous. TYPE: Starts from 1 year fixed-term contract WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week SALARY: €51-62k, depending on experience START: ASAP LOCATION: Amsterdam, the Netherlands (Office-base) Facility Officer Main Responsibilities: Managing all aspects of office maintenance and premises administration (including all facility related tasks) Liaising with the Bank's appointed Office Maintenance companies and building management and dealing with all contractor or engineer visitors to our office and attending tenants meetings Responsible for renewing the office maintenance contract and dealing with any issues arising from the lease and landlord issues such as rent etc. Responsible for the renewal of the Bank's insurance policies and ensuring that all relevant staff are given full details of insurance cover Managing the Bank's Business Continuity Management program and related written documentation (e.g. Manuals, Procedures, etc.) liaising with the IT & Operations Div. Keeping manuals and procedures on all facility matters up to date Coordinating office attendance and maintenance of office space system Act as first point of contact for visitors and as first point of contact in case of calamities in case of alarm or other incidents, coordinate necessary follow-up Coordinating different Facility projects (e.g. renovation, refurbishment etc) Takes on the responsibilities over health and safety issues as the prevention officer, as well as RI&E & BHV Operating the facility on/off boarding process Taking on the lead role in organising company events (e.g. Christmas event, family event) Supporting with regards to annual Business and Budget planning for facility related matters Supporting with regards to payment administration (i.g. invoice expense process) And such other duties as the management may from time-to-time reasonably require Facility Officer Ideal Candidate: Fluent in English (essential) Someone with experience in office management at a mid-sized office, facility management, or general administration, and who is willing to take on a wide range of tasks with a positive attitude Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Able to enjoy working in an international environment Dutch or Japanese language skill would be advantageous All applicants for the Facility Officer must have the right to work in the country without any restrictions as the Company is not able to offer visa support.
