Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager of Early Learning Services, the EarlyON Centre is seeking casual employees. The casual staff will be responsible for the daily operations of the drop-in resource program for children from 0 to 6 years of age and their parents or caregivers. Under the general direction of Early Learning Services and the program Supervisor, as a casual employee, your responsibilities will be: To assist the Supervisor with the daily operations of the program: opening, activity set-up, interaction with children and families, circle time, snack, housekeeping duties, closing. To work in collaboration with the school staff, and as directed by the Supervisor, to provide a high quality, play-based, developmentally appropriate program that reflects the needs of the community. To facilitate parenting education that promotes a positive home/school partnership. Required Qualifications: A diploma in E.C.E./equivalent. Registration with the College of ECE (in good standing). Two years experience in the field, including experience in adult education/support, or community outreach is preferred. Lifesaver First Aid and CPR Certification for infant/child/adult (every 3 years for FA and annually for CPR). A clear police check (dated within 6 months of hire). Annual (or Hourly) Salary: The hourly rate of pay is $24.03 (Effective as of September 1st, 2025, the hourly rate of pay is $25.03. Subject to change as rate is currently being evaluated).
