Supply Management Intern

Duties Execute, in a supply chain of complexity, planning activities within a defined framework/system that mainly affect own organization/unit. Day to day management of our Vendor Dealer Direct Business model Maintain day-to-day contact with business-critical suppliers/dealers and respond to complex incidents with suppliers or supplies/services to analyze performance and provide feedback on key stakeholders Collect and collate information on the key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas of innovation, and alternative suppliers to provide solid market information to more senior colleagues for decision-making. Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work and support in generating new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements. Gather and report on information on existing contract performance and provide it as input to the new contract process for negotiations/renegotiations. Support stakeholder engagement by arranging actions and meetings, Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Education Matric and a qualification in Supply Chain Management or a similar field or equivalent experience. Required Good verbal and written communication skills. Effectively prioritizing work to align with organizational goals. Basic understanding of supply chain concepts and inventory management. Good analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Effective communication skills and the ability to maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work setting. Desired Problem solving skills. Knowledge of contract management and negotiation processes. Understanding of market dynamics and cost drivers in supply management. Basic knowledge of Supply Chain principles. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
