Head of Individual Giving

The Head of Individual Giving will be responsible for the strategic development of the NT’s individual giving programmes. This includes the overall management of memberships (£84 - £600), Patron programmes (£1,500 - £12,000), audience appeals, legacies, and special events. The post holder will manage a team of seven ambitious fundraisers and actively solicit gifts themselves, often working with volunteers, to generate in excess of £5m p.a. from individual donors. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the visibility and success of the National Theatre’s public fundraising and will create a strategy for delivering ambitious growth in this area. The successful candidate will have the following: Successful and personal fundraising track record in securing five-figure gifts from individuals Excellent communication skills, including experience of writing powerful copy Demonstrable experience of budget setting and monitoring Experience of staff recruitment, management and appraising A track record in identifying and maintaining senior level internal and external relationships Knowledge of Gift Aid and other tax effective giving mechanisms If that sounds like you, this may be the role for you!
