New Graduate Veterinary Surgeon Independent Practice Lancashire Start Date: September 2025 Salary : £37,000 Annual Reviews Location : Lancashire, UK Sector : Small Animal Type : Permanent, Full-Time GVC are proud to be assisting a highly respected independent veterinary group in Lancashire in their search for a New Graduate Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated and experienced team from September 2025. This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate to join a supportive, clinically rich environment where learning and development are truly prioritised. The successful candidate will benefit from structured mentorship, diverse case exposure, and the opportunity to work within a close-knit team across three well-established sites. The Role : Full-time, permanent position starting in September 2025 Comprehensive 4-week structured induction to support the transition into practice Graduated introduction to OOH responsibilities, with full rota participation after 12 weeks OOH rota shared across 8 vets, covering in-house patients and supporting four additional local practices On-site accommodation provided for the first 12 weeks (if required) About the Practice: Independent veterinary group with three sites (two consulting-only branches and one main hospital site) Team of 20 veterinary surgeons offering a wealth of in-house knowledge and mentorship Rarely refer cases externally, ensuring excellent clinical exposure for new graduates In-house areas of interest include: Two soft tissue surgeons Internal medicine expertise A vet completing an ophthalmology certificate Interest in orthopaedic surgery On-site GDP advisor to support new graduates in line with the VetGDP framework A collaborative, friendly, and supportive team culture Candidate Profile : This role is ideally suited for a 2025 veterinary graduate looking to begin their career within a nurturing and clinically progressive independent practice.
