We’re looking for a visionary and strategic senior leader to head our Management Services Department at EFSA. What you’ll do: Lead and empower a team of ~140 professionals across five units (Legal, Finance, HR, IT, Corporate Services). Define and implement strategies, policies and services that ensure EFSA’s agility and operational excellence. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, contributing to high-level decisions and long-term resilience. Manage resources and shape performance management aligned with EU standards. Represent EFSA internally and externally at senior level, promoting trust and institutional alignment. What success looks like: Team and departmental performance aligned with EFSA’s Strategy 2027. Measurable improvements in administrative excellence and service delivery. Strong staff engagement, capability building and internal collaboration. What we’re looking for: 15 years of relevant professional experience , including 2 years in a senior managerial role . Experience in at least 2 of the following : finance, procurement, IT, HR, legal, or corporate control. Proven ability to lead in international or multicultural contexts. Strong understanding of EU institutional and regulatory frameworks . High-level behavioural competencies: strategic agility, stakeholder focus, resilience, and communication.
