Lecturer - Food Production 40,170 - 48,357 (pro-rata) 0.4 FTE / 14 Hours Based at Stirling Campus Fixed Term to December 2025 As a lecturer within the department of Hospitality and Culinary, you will produce high quality learning, teaching and assessment materials and deliver excellent teaching within the specialist area of food production. This role will include teaching school courses, supported programs and full time classes. Ensuring that the curriculum is relevant and up-to-date, you will contribute to the development of elements of provision and enhance students' learning through providing support. You will naturally have a strong learner focus and you will work with others to develop new approaches to teaching, making use of learning technologies. With a minimum of HNC in Professional Cookery (or equivalent) or significant relevant industrial experience in this area, you will have an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent). Ideally, you will hold Assessor and Verifier qualifications and a Personal Development Award in Teaching, or have a willingness to work towards achieving these. Ideally, you will have experience of developing innovative teaching practice along with good organisational skills and evidence of appropriate ICT skills. You will also possess good knowledge and understanding of health and safety requirements and a sound understanding of quality standards.
