Position : 132023 Expected Start Date: July 10, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Wilkie Health Centre City/Town: Wilkie Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Casual FTE: 0 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: The EMT will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons. The EMT will cover standby assignment, as operations require. Human Resources Exemption: No Licenses Registered Paramedic (2011 National Occupational Competency Profile standards) Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS) International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS) Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C) Valid Class 4 driver's license Other Education and Training Pre-Hospital Care Program - Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Level CMA accredited Pre-hospital Care Program-EMR Competencies Basic - Interpersonal skills Basic - Communication skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to keep effective work relationships with clients of diverse backgrounds Ability to communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds Other Information Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level Clean Driver's Abstract HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria No guaranteed hours
