Master Planner

JOB PURPOSE:Direct and supervise the Production / Inventory Control department activities. Insure that company goals and objectives of quality, cost and delivery are met.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Be an advocate for safety by ensuring all safety procedures and policies are adhered to as per provincial standards- Responsible for providing order confirmations to aid in meeting sales budget plans- Responsible for reporting on Customer On-time delivery performance- Champion the effective communication between planning, purchasing, sales and manufacturing- Plan and implement effective materials management practices and procedures- Plan and implement effective production control practices and procedures- Responsible for maintaining all Master Production Schedules for each sales division- Develop and maintain a rolling production plan- Maintain acceptable raw, WIP and finished goods inventory levels- Participate in selected cross-functional teams- Maintain metrics as determined- Other duties as assigned by the VP Operations- Ensure the requirements of ISO 9001 and Polycorp's QMS are conformed with.- All other duties as required.SKILLS, EDUCATION, COMPUTER & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:- Certified in Planning and inventory management (CPIM)- 5 to 10 years experience in all phases of materials management & production control- College and/or university degree Materials management or relevant experience- Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook- Good organization, communication and negotiation skillsADDITIONAL DESIRABLES - PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:- Lean manufacturing principlesProcurement, Supply Chain Management, Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Production controlRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
