Role The Head of Editorial Content for WIRED Mexico leads all content across digital, video, audio, and social media in the Spanish-speaking market. This role reports to the Deputy Global Editorial Director and serves as a crucial part of WIRED's growing global network. The position requires an individual who can drive editorial quality, grow the WIRED audience, and increase revenue. Responsibilities You will set and oversee WIRED Mexico's editorial direction in line with global priorities while developing content strategies that resonate with local and Spanish language audiences. The role requires a deep understanding of the technology ecosystem in Latin America and Spain and a strong understanding of WIRED’s core coverage areas. You will guide day-to-day digital output across all platforms, and work closely with video and social media teams to engage and expand audience reach. Leading and inspiring the editorial team in Mexico, you'll create a positive work environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and excellence. You'll also work closely with the commercial and revenue teams to ensure the financial health of the brand. You'll share story ideas, talent suggestions, and local insights for global projects while helping adapt shared content from across WIRED’s markets for Spanish-speaking audiences. The role requires the ability to manage content budgets for digital, video, and social media initiatives and partner with the commercial team on revenue opportunities that align with WIRED's editorial standards while understanding business goals and protecting editorial integrity. As a brand ambassador, you'll represent WIRED at events, provide creative direction, and build relationships with clients and industry partners in Mexico and beyond. You'll also implement strategies to increase readership and engagement across all platforms. Primary Skills and Qualifications : A minimum of 8 years of experience leading teams in digital, social, video media - ideally in a global company Working professional proficiency in Spanish and English , written and spoken A passion for innovation, storytelling and a strong on-camera presence Deep understanding of the Spanish-language technology ecosystem, inclusive of Mexico and Latin America , as well as North America and Spain Extremely strong editorial skills and experience assigning and editing multi-platform content and working to strict deadlines while executing at the highest standard Proven leader with the ability to empower, mentor, and inspire a nimble editorial team Creative and innovative thinker who will bring new ideas to editorial development Strong business acumen, networking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to guide a team toward achieving business goals An entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on new opportunities for events, stories and areas for audience growth Strong interpersonal communication skills What happens next?
