Job Profile Summary: The Privacy Analyst, Business Systems will support Petco’s U.S. privacy compliance program by processing all privacy rights requests/data subject access requests (“DSARs”) in compliance with Petco’s Standard Operating Procedures. Essential Job Functions: The Privacy Analyst provides critical support to Petco’s U.S. privacy compliance program. This individual is responsible for investigating, processing, fulfilling, and documenting all DSARs on behalf of Petco. Using established templates and Standard Operating Procedures, the Privacy Analyst communicates directly with data subjects who are seeking to exercise their privacy rights; researches these data subjects in Petco systems; grants the data subjects’ requests in compliance with Petco’s established Standard Operating Procedures; and directly coordinates with IT system owners and business stakeholders to ensure all requests are fulfilled within legal deadlines. The Privacy Analyst works extensively within OneTrust and ServiceNow on a daily basis; maintains all records and metrics related to the Company’s DSARs; and independently develops and delivers weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting on DSAR trends. In addition, this individual proactively monitors for, identifies, escalates, and resolves any challenges or issues in OneTrust or ServiceNow that may impact the DSAR workflow. As business systems evolve, the Privacy Analyst will identify new systems that must be added to the DSAR workflow, and partner with IT and business stakeholders to bring those systems into the workflow. This individual may be asked to provide other support to the Privacy or Legal team as necessary. The Privacy Analyst reports to the Associate General Counsel of Privacy & Litigation, and partners extensively with Petco’s Privacy Paralegal. Qualifications : Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to multitask and complete a high volume of individual, administrative tasks. Strong research skills, and an investigative attitude and ability. Exercises good judgment, and can escalate challenges or problems where appropriate. Excellent customer service skills, and ability to communicate respectfully and clearly with consumers and employees. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with various teams across the organization. Self-motivated and strong time-management skills. Experience with, or a passion and ability to learn, OneTrust’s DSAR module, and ServiceNow’s ticketing system. Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, Atlassian/Confluence, PowerPoint. Knowledge of, or a passion and ability to learn about, U.S. privacy laws, such as the CCPA, CDPA, VCDPA, under the guidance of the U.S.-based legal team. Experience with OneTrust in connection with ServiceNow is a plus. Education/Experience: 2 years of professional experience in privacy, legal, compliance, technology, program or project management, or information security. College degree.
