NAVIRIS is a Joint Venture between Fincantieri and Naval Group. This partnership consolidates the two companies' commitment to building a future of excellence for the shipbuilding industry and the Navy. Fincantieri and Naval Group, through Naviris, are joining forces to develop a new strategic capability and respond in an innovative way to the needs of customers in an increasingly competitive market. The NAVIRIS team, with its headquarters in Genoa and offices in Ollioules, focuses on bilateral, European and export projects. This alliance is a natural evolution of the historical partnership between two world leaders. With more than twenty years of collaboration, Naval Group and Fincantieri have already reached milestones together: already in the 1990s with the Horizon programme for air defence combat ships (four ships) and with the FREMM frigate programme since 2005 (twenty ships). NAVIRIS aims to create value for its customers in the following key areas - Joint research and development projects - Global supply capability - Project Management and Design Authority - Procurement optimization ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The ILS Specialist is an experienced engineer, familiar with the design of Integrated Logistic System of complex projects, with knowledge in the main areas of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability, and able to manage the ILS package produced by different partners and deliver the expected ILS data package to the end-users. The main responsibilities of the ILS Specialist are: - Prepare the conditions for the proper execution of ILS studies from the start of the program and ensure the non-technical management of design activities during the contract. Successful experience in managing ILS studies in an international cooperation environment is required. - Prepare, in close relations with suppliers, the deliverables due from Naviris and ensure that they are in accordance with the Quality, Cost and Schedule objectives defined by the programme. - Oversee closely the activities related to ILS studies which are performed by main partners (1 in Italy, 1 in France). - Contribute to the continuous improvement of Engineering performance in the field of ILS studies through appropriate organization and tools. - Manage the interfaces about ILS with the suppliers of systems for the HRZ MLU program by managing regular meetings and reviews. - Contribute, in his/her scope of responsibility, to the elaboration of offers, in particular by estimating the costs of Naviris' engineering activities, in connection with the other contributors of the company, The ILS Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the design expenditure of the projects he/she manages. He/she will have to control the parameters that are essential to the success of the studies, the deadlines and the costs of the studies. As in charge of the ILS management at Whole Warship level (PF and CS and Transverse activities), you will be able to monitor complex ILS development tasks on your own or in the form of workshops with the partners. You have a good understanding of the requirements of recognized standards and specific software and databases specified by the Italian and French Navies. You have a good command of IT tools to improve the productivity and quality of your studies (Macros, document proforma, study monitoring tables and adapted indicators, study planning, storage tree structure for documents and study data, etc.). In this field, you will manage the regular meetings of the design team and ensure that these meetings are useful for the team and remain efficient. You will contribute to the preparation of bids in the field of studies and interactions between design, procurement and production. REQUIREMENTS - Engineering graduate with proven successful experience, if possible in international environments. - A good knowledge of combat vessels and their Combat Systems - Professional English (speaking, writing and reading). Italian and French is a plus. - Ollioules (France) or Genova (Italy). Occasional travels in Europa in the context of the positions' activities are envisaged.
