Your Day-to-Day: • Complete complex engineering assignments including preparation of packages that include preparation of specifications and data sheets, calculations, and modifications to existing plant drawings. • Prepare purchase requisitions. • Review vendor drawings. • Interface with plant stakeholders to determine project scope/requirements. • Support construction, implementation and start up activities. • Review completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes and design data. • Coordinate the efforts of the group with other discipline groups on the same project. Who You Are: As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team: • Bachelor of Science from a 4-year university with course work in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and/or heat transfer • 4 years of experience relating to the design of fluid thermal systems for power plants or heavy industrial facilities • 2 years of experience relating to the design or operation of commercial Nuclear Power Plants • Experience evaluating and/or specifying pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and turbines. • Working knowledge of ASME and ANSI codes/standards. • Preparation of specifications, calculations, and drawings for plant systems. • Good written and oral communication skills. Must have experience working in a Team environment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Familiarity with the Nuclear Standard Design Process, and experience preparing engineering drawings including but not limited to vendor drawings, P&IDs, logic diagrams, instrument hookups, etc. for plant modification packages. • Field experience at an operating nuclear plant • Experience with AOV and/or MOV calculations is a plus Why WECTEC Staffing Services?
