Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical/Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Experience: 2 years of Med/Surg experience, 2 years of RN experience, Cerner experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the applicable state/district Certifications: NIHSS, BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN highly desired Job Description: - Fulfill the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing various patient care tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. - Deliver competent, capable, caring, and efficient care to patients. - Apply knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan to provide age-appropriate care. - Demonstrate the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs. - Demonstrate an understanding of the range of treatments needed by patients. - Conduct initial assessments and determine the appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. - Perform initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. - Complete admission assessments within the time frame established by policy and procedures.
