Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team responsible for ensuring patients and families receive individualized high-quality care. They practice in a clinical environment supported by Nurse Managers and leaders. The framework for practice is guided by a Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practice. All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to uphold nursing practice as outlined by the Professional Nurse Practice Act. They implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards set by the American Nurses Association. As part of the patient services team, they uphold system policies and support service excellence goals. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Performs the Nursing Process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care using evidence-based practice. Coordinates care through effective partnerships, ensuring care is individualized. Provides patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics. Partners with patients and significant others in their care journey. Practices using current clinical standards. Teamwork and Collaboration: Coordinates safe quality patient care and promotes professional care delivery. Demonstrates teamwork by working collaboratively with all healthcare team members.
