Pay Information $1,912 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: To ensure patient safety, it is mandatory that all licensed personnel who provide direct patient care pass a medication and math competency test before assuming medication administration responsibilities. This exam will cover knowledge of the actions and side effects of commonly used drugs, along with math regarding correct dosages and IV problems. The passing grade on this exam is 90%, and it may be repeated one time. Failure to pass the retake may result in termination of employment. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in an intensive care unit. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to a diverse patient population, including medical, neuro surgery, and cardiovascular surgery patients. Most patients in the unit are medical, but the nurse will encounter various surgical cases as well. The nurse will work within a mixed unit structure, which includes responsibilities in medical surgical and stepdown areas as needed. Patient ratios are generally 2 to 3 patients per nurse. Experience with CRRT, ventilators, and hemodynamics is a plus. The dress code requires black scrubs, and hoodies are not permitted.
