Their portfolio includes Atomic Force Microscopes, Optical profilers, MicroCT, Thin-film measurements, Mechanical testing equipment (indentation, scratch and tribology), Surface analysis equipment (XPS, auger, SIMS) and Active vibration isolation systems. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a graduate who is looking to take their first step into Service Engineering to join their existing service team of 4. Role and responsibilities The installation and commissioning of mechanical testing and characterisation instruments at customer sites across the BENELUX & Nordics territories Training of customers in the operation & use of instruments Carrying out routine preventative maintenance visits Responding to emergency service call-outs and repairs Fault diagnosis and resolution using both mechanical, electrical and software fault-finding skills. Providing full written reports on activities The Person To be successful in this role, you will have graduated in an engineering disapline and be motivated by working in a hands on enviroment with complex equipment analytical instruments such as optical microscopes, laser deposition systems, photonics devices, sample preparation tools, electron microscopes, spectrometers, X-ray CT systems, MRI scanners and particle analysis instruments. A background in Electronics, Mechanical or Electrical or Mechatronics is highly desirable. Minimum level BSc in a related field.
