Job Description
Working closely with school administrators and dorm staff, the Residential Assistant helps oversee the safety, well-being, and behavior of our high school students during overnight hours and weekends as needed. Responsibilities include conducting rounds in the dorm, supervising check-ins and curfews, responding to minor incidents or emergencies, and providing emotional support and mentorship to students. The role also involves promoting community building through activities, helping maintain cleanliness, and assisting with light operational tasks or cafeteria duties when needed.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a flexible schedule. CPR, First Aid certification, and a Food Handler’s Permit are required—but if not already certified, Utah Prep Academy will cover the cost of obtaining them. This role is ideal for individuals who are nurturing, dependable, and enjoy working with teens in a high-energy, values-driven environment. In return, Utah Prep offers on-campus room and board, a monthly stipend ranging from $250 to $500 depending on experience, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people.
