Audiologists determine the type as well as the degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and effects on comprehension, speech and communication disorders. Patients are referred for medical and educational services as indicated. Audiologists plan and implement prevention, habilitation, or rehabilitation services including hearing aid selection, fitting, counseling and orientation. Assistive listening devices are recommended by Audiologists according to the patients' needs or nature of impairment.Job RequirementsEducationRequired: Master's Degree or Doctorate – Au.D.
