About the Role We are hiring a full-time, in-person STEM Mentor with a Master’s degree from a US university to join our high-performing US Admissions team. The role demands more than subject-matter knowledge—it calls for structured mentorship , cross-functional collaboration , and client accountability in a high-pressure cycle that peaks between August and January. You will: Design and lead student journeys for competitive STEM college admissions Guide students on Olympiads, research fellowships, and innovation pathways Serve as the academic face of Rostrum in outreach and partnership settings Contribute to in-house intellectual property in the STEM vertical This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys student-facing work, and is deeply committed to results. Key Responsibilities Student Mentorship & Strategy Conduct structured intake sessions and consultation calls with STEM students and families Build and implement personalized application timelines, program lists, and enrichment strategies Offer guidance on US research programs, Olympiads, summer schools, and project-based STEM learning Ensure progress through regular check-ins, portfolio feedback, and milestone tracking B2B Partnerships & Thought Leadership Build and manage relationships with STEM organizations, research institutions, and education nonprofits Represent Rostrum at external events and lead workshops for schools, students, and partner organizations Identify opportunities to expand Rostrum’s presence in the STEM education space Internal Projects & Program Development Contribute to STEM-focused workshops, webinars, handbooks, and mentorship playbooks Collaborate with content creators and academic strategists to co-develop new products and services Cross-Functional Collaboration Align with counselors, test prep specialists, and content teams for cohesive service delivery Maintain internal quality standards and flag red flags or bottlenecks in a timely manner ✅ What We’re Looking For Master’s degree from a US university (mandatory) Deep understanding of US STEM admissions , research ecosystems, and innovation pathways Experience mentoring or advising students (ideally in a college counseling or academic setting) Strong written and verbal communication skills; confidence in client-facing scenarios Proactive, driven, and structured in your work — can handle multiple clients during peak season Able to manage parent expectations, counsel high-achieving students, and maintain clear boundaries Bonus: Network in the STEM academic or research ecosystem Why Join Rostrum?
