Position Title: Advanced Software Engineer – Mobile Android About the Role We are looking for a talented and experienced native Android Engineer to join our growing mobile engineering team. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge native Android applications and SDKs. You will be involved in the entire app lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, release, and post-launch support of an array of medical and lifestyle software products. The ideal candidate is a passionate developer with a strong portfolio of Android apps and a deep understanding of the modern Android ecosystem. Job Description: Roles & responsibilities: Designs/develops software solutions and business process solutions based on business needs and requirements using specialized domain knowledge and developed business expertise Analyses user requirement/needs and makes decisions considering the nature of project. Participates in software design for features and bug fixes independently. Leads projects and programs within own organization with moderate complexity, scope, with guidance from manager Provides technical expertise on the team; analyses and evaluates code issues and makes decisions within general parameters under broad supervision Focus on quality in all aspects of work; follows established standards of excellence Contributes to team activities and collaborates within the team and dependent project areas to solve problems. Has good understanding of quality standards and work required minimal revision Experience Required: 3 years of software development experience in mobile and web technologies, including Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, React Native, TypeScript/JavaScript, and WebView Knowledge of architecture and design of Android mobile applications using MVVM or MVI, dependency injection (e.g., Hilt, Dagger, Koin), uni-directional data flow, composable architecture, modularization, persistent storage, and offline sync Experience working with microservices-based architectures and integrating extensible REST and GraphQL APIs Experience in automated unit and UI testing using tools such as JUnit, Turbine, Kotest, Compose Testing, Espresso, UIAutomator, Robolectric, and accessibility testing tools Knowledge of security protocols and products including OAuth/SAML, biometric authentication, scoped storage, signing configurations, and Play Integrity API Experience with analyzing and tuning code and application performance including memory leak detection, battery tracing, benchmarking, and profiling using Android Studio Profiler Hands-on experience with build tools such as Gradle and Maven, and setting up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or similar Experience implementing push notifications, deep linking, and user engagement mechanisms Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools such as AppDynamics Comfortable using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-based development assistants to improve code quality and productivity Understanding of the full software development lifecycle and Agile software development practices Competencies: Compassionate and kind, showing courtesy, dignity, and respect.
