Description: Department: Med Surg Renal Location: Piedmont Atlanta Hospital Schedule: Night Shift 3 12's (7pm - 7am) Up to $10,000 Sign on bonus offered Its Time to Get Better and grow at Piedmont! Our Acute Care team spans several units with admission sources from the Emergency Department, PACU, ICUs and direct admissions. Our Med Surg Renal unit (4 South) is a PRISM award winning unit. The patient population includes acute and chronic renal disorders with comorbidities including possible cardiac, GU, GI, and respiratory diagnosis. The nurses have the privilege of being trained in peritoneal dialysis. 4 South has a close partnering with transplant and nephrology. Also, because of our proximity to the transplant unit, we take care of patients throughout their journey for a liver and kidney transplant. We prepare patients to be added to the national transplant registry and treat them for readmission because of complications and organ rejection. RESPONSIBLE FOR: The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care. Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of a nursing program MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: New Graduates of a nursing program eligible MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable. Bachelor's degree preferred. Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred.
